We ordered grilled rump steak and rump steak with kajmak. We chose them on the waiter’s recommendation, and for salad we had homemade pickled cabbage, which was fantastic, along with a regular cabbage salad, also excellently seasoned. Since the portions were truly generous, we did not order dessert, but next time we will definitely try the homemade baklava. The menu offers a wide selection of meat dishes, including chicken, veal, pork, Leskovac-style mućkalica, homemade sausages, tripe, and more.
Inside the restaurant, the tables are neatly set with white tablecloths, while small but carefully chosen details, such as fresh flowers on the table, give the space a sense of elegance, warmth, and impeccable cleanliness. Everything is tastefully arranged and stylish.
In front of the building, there is a large parking area, while around the restaurant stretches a spacious garden, ideal for warmer days and relaxed gatherings.
The exceptionally kind waiter recommended the dish of the day, and we did not regret it. It is worth mentioning that he has worked here for many years, which speaks volumes about the owners’ attitude toward their employees and the atmosphere they foster. The restaurant also makes its own homemade sausages from pure beef and pays special attention to meat quality.
This establishment has been operating for more than 35 years, almost without advertising, which only confirms how many guests return because of the quality and service. It is especially heartening that Mr. Paun’s family tradition has been continued by his son, so by coming here, you are supporting a family-run establishment that truly deserves it. For that reason, Restaurant Kod Pauna rightfully stands out as one of the places we recommend to anyone who wants to try traditional food in Loznica.
