For starters, we tried grilled mushrooms and breaded cheese, but the incredible chef beautifully arranged the entire appetizer and even added fries, even though we had not asked for them. The starter alone could have been enough for a full meal. For the main course, we ordered a mixed meat platter for four people, which, in addition to being beautifully presented once again, included three types of meat and was very tasty and fresh. It had everything from chicken, ćevapi, and gourmet pljeskavica to hunter’s schnitzels, Karađorđeva steak, and homemade sausages. We should also point out that the cabbage salad was excellent and deserves special praise, perfectly seasoned.
Inside, it looks like a classic Serbian tavern, with wood and stone, and enough room for seven or eight tables. Outside, there is a beautiful garden done in an ethno style, full of traditional decorative elements. It is worth mentioning that you can also have cooked dishes here, from beans to soup, so, in addition to the pleasant atmosphere, many people come here for homemade dishes.
The waiter who served us was exceptionally kind. It is clear that he has worked here for many years, and that this is a family business, since it has had the same owner from the very beginning. That certainly contributes to the customers’ trust and to a good relationship with the staff. This is a traditional restaurant where everyone can find something that suits them, and we will definitely come back to try some of the cooked dishes as well.
