We have visited this place several times, and everything we tried was excellent. From breakfast options, such as uštipci served with cheese and prosciutto, to zucchini rolls, and main courses where we enjoyed an excellent gurmanska pljeskavica, chicken in cheddar sauce, as well as the dish shown in the picture – shashlik.
Shashlik is a type of marinated meat skewer that is grilled. Here it is served hanging on a hook together with vegetables. Even though only one of us ordered it, we could easily eat both only this dish.
It is also worth mentioning that they serve pork Karađorđe schnitzel, as well as stuffed peppers and Leskovac-style opanak.
On their website, you can also find information that the dishes are prepared using ingredients from the Zlatibor region, such as goat meat, veal, buckwheat, prosciutto, and cheese, all sourced from trusted suppliers, which is truly commendable.
The space is very pleasant, with wood and purple tones dominating the interior. There is one section with regular tables and another slightly separated area with booth seating.
During the summer, guests can also enjoy a large garden, which was recently expanded, so there is plenty of space for all lovers of traditional cuisine.
The service is excellent, the waiters are quick, and the food is always fresh. Our recommendation is to try some of their meat specialties, which are truly fantastic.
Unfortunately, there are not many restaurants left where you can eat high-quality pork. Many follow trends and opt for easier and more standard choices like chicken, while good pork requires sourcing from trusted suppliers. That is why it is particularly commendable that it remains part of their menu.
We will return to try another delicacy that you probably won’t find elsewhere for breakfast – pork in buckwheat crusts.
