To start, we chose an assortment of local cheeses, which were fantastic – they practically melted in the mouth. For the main course, we had pork knuckle in gravy and chicken ajmokac, accompanied, of course, by two glasses of house wine.
The selection of dishes is remarkable. There is also plenty to choose from for those who are fasting -you can try homemade stuffed cabbage rolls, gravče na tavče, trout, carp, and many other dishes, truly something for everyone. From wedding cabbage stew, grilled sweetbreads, and grilled intestines, to an excellent selection of pork dishes, this is especially worth praising. As we have said many times before, it is a shame that our restaurants do not offer a wider range of pork specialties, given that pork has traditionally been one of the most commonly served meats on the Serbian table.
You can also try excellent pancakes and krempita, so there is plenty of choice for dessert lovers.
The ambience is enchanting, with beautiful details everywhere, from the garden to the interior itself. Paintings, gramophones, warm colors – everything has been carefully designed to make guests feel comfortable.
During lunch, tamburica musicians will almost certainly come to your table, as they perform here every day. That is why many companies bring their business partners here, and do not be surprised if you spot a familiar face nearby, as this is a place often frequented by well-known public figures, above all because of the quality of the service.
The service is impeccable, from the kind waiters who attend to your every need to their thoughtful wine recommendations based on your taste, as well as their guidance in choosing food.
This is definitely one of those places where you simply cannot go wrong – whether you come alone or with a larger group, you will always be welcomed with a smile.
