To start, we tried grilled Miroč cheese. For the main course, we had grilled trout, pork neck in mushroom sauce, and Shopska salad, finishing with homemade baklava. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were generous enough to satisfy our appetite.
As you go upstairs to the restaurant, it is immediately clear that great attention has been paid to every detail. On the right is a spacious garden with wooden benches, while on the left is the restaurant entrance. The space is filled with interesting details, paintings, embroidered pictures, hats, plates -all hung on the walls, and as you move from room to room, you feel as though you have stepped into a cheerful, welcoming home. Warm tones dominate the interior, from orange to beige, while soft traditional tavern music plays in the background. The overall atmosphere brings back a time when people would leave all their worries behind in the tavern and spend time with those closest to them.
It turned out that the young man who served us was the owner’s son, and that the staff is not large, but deeply dedicated, something you can truly feel in the quality of the experience. The way he presented each dish, informed us about the menu, and kindly suggested which wines to pair with the meat and fish deserves every praise and recommendation. We hope our choice to feature this restaurant will help more people discover this gem of Novi Sad’s culinary scene.
