We started with a homemade soup, comforting and flavorful, the kind that feels like something our mothers would make. For the main course, we tried grilled trout and turkey served with cherry sauce.
Along with the main dishes, we were served a portion of homemade bread. We also ordered a fresh salad and finished the meal with a warm apple pie. We waited a little longer for the dessert, but it was definitely worth it, especially with a scoop of ice cream on the side.
Inside, the interior is dominated by brick and carefully chosen small details, while outside, there is a garden terrace with small tables and flowers decorating each one. The indoor space is significantly larger than the terrace, but even though the outdoor area is modest in size, it has its own charm.
One thing that stands out is the number of international guests visiting the restaurant, perhaps because of the hotel, but it is also one of the few places we have visited that offers such a diverse menu. It almost feels like a tribute to all the cultures that have influenced Vojvodina’s traditional cuisine.
The menu itself is designed in a rustic style, reminiscent of earlier times.
The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend which drinks pair best with particular dishes. They are also happy to inform you how long you might have to wait for your dessert or main course and can help guide your choice based on your preferences, which certainly deserves praise.
